Information held in an individual’s portfolio is transferred automatically when changes are made to their role at which point Redkite Smart Train LMS will automatically manage the portfolio: training no longer required is archived, new training required is added, and generic training is carried forward. Add an image or a video clip to your question. Set your marks – multiple outcomes can be entered (e.g., pass, distinction, merit), set your rules, allow users to re-attempt previous questions, force an answer to a question, set a time limit on a question or the whole assessment, decide whether the questions can be marked automatically, give a mark or partial mark where only a portion of a question is completed.

Competence / proficiency is not permanent and needs to be maintained to ensure personnel operate to the highest passible standards. Maintaining competence through periodic refresher training and assessments can be critical to avoid ‘skills decay’.
“Skills decay” occurs where a skill is not practiced over time. The rate at which skills decay will depend upon many factors including the complexity of the skill and how likely it is to be practiced under day to day working conditions. How long is it since a skill has been used, changes to operational requirements, newly introduced equipment or techniques will all impact on an individual’s competence.

Redkite Smart Train LMS scenarios are a great way to manage the assessment of individuals and teams under real work or simulated working conditions.
Scenarios provide a framework through which assessments can be made. You define a scenario on Redkite Smart Train LMS and then identify the role or different roles that an individua or a team will deploy at that scenario. Roles can be pre-defined and can be pre-mapped to relevant units and elements to reduce workload and reduce oversights.
The scenarios will not occur within the system; they will occur outside the system.
The aim of a scenario is to provide a framework for assessing performance for an individual or a team and can be as simple or as complex as you need, involving one individual carrying out one role, or many individuals performing many roles.
Recording the performance of an individual or a team when assessing through a scenario is very straightforward. Simply select the individual (or individuals if more than one person is carrying out the same role(s)) and then select the role or roles they have carried out, then enter and record the assessment including any comment.
On saving the outcomes of your assessments, individual records will be updated showing the scenario, the roles performed, together with assessment outcomes and comments.
Because a role can be ‘mapped’ directly to units, elements and performance criterion within your competence framework, any units, elements, and performance criteria mapped to the roles will be automatically updated.
